Senior to Run Cross Country and Track at Collegiate Level

Meghan McNabb, Class of 2022, will go from Tiger to Griffin when she joins the Division II Cross Country and Track and Field teams at Seton Hill University this fall. Meghan, who plans to enroll in Seton Hill’s 5-year Integrated Master’s program for Nutrition and Dietetics, signed her National Letter of Intent and celebrated her commitment on campus alongside her classmates and fellow Upper School community members.
Meghan is a two-year member of the Ellis Track and Field team and a five-year member of the Ellis Cross Country team, serving as the cross country team captain for the 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 seasons. She has received various accolades throughout her high school athletic career, including the 2020–2021 Ellis Cross Country Most Valuable Player Award.

"Running cross country and track at Ellis has been an incredible journey,” says Meghan. "With every hill sprint, tempo run, and mile repeat, I've learned how to push myself out of my comfort zone. I hope that I can inspire my younger teammates and future Ellis runners to stay dedicated to this sport and give 110% effort at every practice and race.”

Following Meghan’s commitment announcement, Ellis Cross Country Coach Caroline Lynett shared the following about the senior’s outstanding sportsmanship and dedication to her team:

"Meghan is a strong, driven, motivated athlete. During her two seasons as team captain, she supported her teammates with encouraging words, posters, and special treats. Meghan pushes herself to reach her fullest potential. Through hardships and success, Meghan always remained positive. It was a true pleasure to coach Meghan and I am so excited for her future. I cannot wait to hear about her new endeavors.”

Congratulations, Meghan!
